Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind. With the city besieged by the mutants, he visits the Corporations' leader Constantine, asking for an aircraft and twenty men for a suicide mission to destroy The Machine, planting a bomb and a detonator following the knowledge of the Chronicles. Made on a fairly low-budget the film relies on clever use of CGI and minature work to achieve its futuristic setting, though it's quite obvious the movie doesn't have the same polish that other bigger budget CGI-fests have. The production notes describe this as an epic sci-fi action thriller like no other, which is on every level a blessing - it's like being dropped into a tar pit of underlit tedium.

Mutant Chronicles was a wasted opportunity to create something pretty good.
During a battle between Capitol and Bauhaus, the great seal is broken and The Machine works again transforming soldiers and civilians into hordes of mutants. Mutant Chronicles should be avoided. It has its flaws no doubt, but this is still a damn entertaining action-horror that passes the time very well.
Violent, gory and irritating, Mutant Chronicles relies more on it's blood and guts to tell it's story, which ultimately fails because I found that the story was pretty much absent. | | The acting is terrible and considering this cast, you can expect something nothing less really. Most of the film seems like a rehash of different action horror films, but this one is done very badly and the results in the end are very bad. In 2707, the depleted world is ruled by four Corporations: Mishima, Bauhaus, Capitol and Imperial that are in a constant state of war. However the film lacks anything great.
