Consider joining a happy, innovative, 20-voice chamber choir that excels in eclectic programming and exciting and refined performances of (mostly) The San Francisco Choral Artists are the ensemble of choice for many audiences, composers, and singers, performing diverse and beautiful concerts that feature newly commissioned American works, contemporary compositions, and the best choral music of the last 600 years from around the globe.With 35 seasons of experience, over 300 world premieres, excellent critical reviews, two Chorus America awards for adventurous programming, and a fine artistic director, SFCA can offer you the joy that comes from singing in a chamber ensemble with other talented, dedicated, and friendly singers.Talented singers are encouraged to contact Artistic Director Magen Solomon throughout the year, however most auditions occur June through August.Most Monday evenings, from 7-10 PM, in San Francisco (free parking and public transport accessible)Our subscription concerts generally take place in December, March and June each season, with each concert set performed three times (in San Francisco, Oakland, and Palo Alto). Boys in First Grade, Kindegarten or Pre-K do not need to audition and will be accepted automatically into the Preparatory Choruses. We hold our regular rehearsals on Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Castro Valley, CA. Our seventy-voice volunteer choir holds auditions periodically throughout the year. There are usually a few additional performances.Modest financial compensation is offered for rehearsals and concerts.
