I've done CountryLink a few times in the past and the staff are generally ok with you changing to an unoccupied pair of seats if no one is due to get on any time soon (pretty common during the week).The toilets are filth but if you're a dude, be lucky you get to stand rather than trying to hover over a steel, seatless toilet whilst the train goes around bends. man only the weirdoes catch the train, and you're a weirdo now!!!
